Nasal Flush

This might land in the realm of TMI (too much information). After hearing a couple of stories on NPR (Got a Runny Nose? Flush It Out!) that seemed to endorse the idea of running large amounts of a saline solution through your sinuses to clear them out, I decided to give it a try. I drove down to Walgreens last night (off topic: doesn’t it seem strange when a pharmacy has a wall of tobacco products) and picked up a SinuCleanse kit that has a strange tea pot looking thing and a bunch of packets with the solution. All you do is make the solution in warm water in the pot, then pour it in one nostril and let it run out the other.

I’ll try to remember to post in a couple of weeks to tell what I think of the process. After doing it twice now my nose is VERY clear, but my ears and head feel like I just got out of the pool.

Here’s a video that will demonstrate the process…
