I just shared the icy roads with thousands of humans, many of them teenagers trying to get to school, and everything moved along very sensibly given the conditions. There were no wrecks or fender-benders. I didn't even see anybody do something careless. Yet, I get to work, and one of the first phrases I hear is, “Nobody knows how to drive." Maybe one or two doofuses made a poor decision that caught your attention, but let's give each other a break.

@cpultz “I CAN’T GET UP!”

One of favorite local breweries seems to think that it’s June… little but Pilsners, Lagers and IPAs on the board… this is Stout Season! It’s cold and snowing outside and If it’s under 10%, I’m not interested 😁

Got my /AE tonight. Kinda bummed that there isn’t more to study for, but there is so much more to learn. At least I don’t have to be careful to not key up under 14.225 anymore 😁

@mrwilson the Venn diagram circles of "Created after Edge was released" and "Created when Browser Compatibility notices were a thing" do not even come close to touching...

Been isolated with COVID since Tuesday afternoon, but have generally felt fine outside of a sore-ish throat -- still, that doesn't mean that someone I spread it to will fare so well... so it's a great time to drive around alone, to empty parks in the winter and talk to folks all over the country. I hit Wagon Train, Stagecoach and Bluestem Lakes this afternoon.

Had a pretty good parks-on-the-air activation while my son was doing some drumming at UNL this evening. 21 easy contacts and could have had many more. Was getting rave reports of my signal with only 20 watts… amazing what such little power can achieve. (Xiegu G90 & Wolf River 213” Whip)

@cpultz Thoughts and prayers for the judge and jury 🙄

@mrwilson 😁 it does look like a Guitar Hero or Rock Band! Here’s a quick scan through 10 meters with audio with stations up and down the west coast and South America. Very busy today.

Well, when 10 meters opened up it really opened up!

Excited for 10m contest this weekend and solar flare wrecks the band

End of season Nebraska Marching Band concert is one of my favorites of the year… loads of brass and drums in a performance hall? Yes Please!!

What’s the worst interface you deal with daily? Mine is the induction burners on our oven. Three buttons and, unless you want the highest or lowest setting, you have to push all three — one to turn it on, one to go to top or bottom of range and the third to move the setting up or down from there.

Monday after Black Friday: “ONLY HOURS LEFT TO SAVE!!”

Tuesday morning: “SURPRISE! ONE MORE DAY!”, “EXTENDED!”, “YOU STILL HAVE TIME!”

@cpultz tells me I’m going to die on my wife’s birthday… Happy Birthday, Honey! 😵

@christianselig PhotoResize Pro in the app store works well, and I think it is less than $10 for a lifetime license. Ihttps://apps.apple.com/us/app/photoresize-pro/id536956866?mt=12

@kr1st I figure I can be frustrated or laugh at it... but it comes across like GLaDOS in Portal :-)

No matter how often I do it, I'm always amused by the lengths a fresh install of Windows goes to to convince you not to install Chrome or set it as the default.

@RadioGeek Still on? Mode/frequency?

Enjoying this last Friday of Daylight Time. Next week at this time it will be dark ☹️

@cpultz Ha! They must have accessibility-checked those colors, or just got lucky. 😜

@cpultz born in TX. Lived there, then OK before getting to Lincoln when I was about 3… so, I don’t remember all of that but …

@mrwilson That was a fun exercise although I was confused about the difference between stayed and visited. My most debatable point is my “passed here" for Kentucky, taken only because I think the Cincinatti airport is actually in Kentucky.

Happy Reformation Day :-)

@ethanschoonover that looks like fantastic software. My radios, so far, have been Yaesu and I get kinda jealous when I some of these neat apps that leverage the unique features on Icom rigs.

One thing I've liked about RumLog is that it can keep your log in iCloud, then it has an iOS app that will read that same log — so you have the same log everywhere. What I don't like is that it's a little window-heavy compared to MacLogger DX which puts everything in one interface.
