@christianselig PhotoResize Pro in the app store works well, and I think it is less than $10 for a lifetime license. Ihttps://apps.apple.com/us/app/photoresize-pro/id536956866?mt=12

@kr1st I figure I can be frustrated or laugh at it... but it comes across like GLaDOS in Portal :-)

No matter how often I do it, I'm always amused by the lengths a fresh install of Windows goes to to convince you not to install Chrome or set it as the default.

@RadioGeek Still on? Mode/frequency?

Enjoying this last Friday of Daylight Time. Next week at this time it will be dark ☹️

@cpultz Ha! They must have accessibility-checked those colors, or just got lucky. 😜

@cpultz born in TX. Lived there, then OK before getting to Lincoln when I was about 3… so, I don’t remember all of that but …

@mrwilson That was a fun exercise although I was confused about the difference between stayed and visited. My most debatable point is my “passed here" for Kentucky, taken only because I think the Cincinatti airport is actually in Kentucky.

Happy Reformation Day :-)

@ethanschoonover that looks like fantastic software. My radios, so far, have been Yaesu and I get kinda jealous when I some of these neat apps that leverage the unique features on Icom rigs.

One thing I've liked about RumLog is that it can keep your log in iCloud, then it has an iOS app that will read that same log — so you have the same log everywhere. What I don't like is that it's a little window-heavy compared to MacLogger DX which puts everything in one interface.

@ethanschoonover I love to work from here… a nearby camp where I worked in summers as a college student and met my wife. I usually have the place to myself in the off-season. Logging app is RumLogNG. I bounce between it and MacLogger… they are both fine. What do you use?

@jsonstein @KJ7OFH Great radio. Display/UI feels like an early draft of what 101/10/710 have now but perfectly usable and inclusion of 2m/70cm makes it such a great all-in-one rig. Rails a must if you are toting it around!

A quiet morning operating W1AW/0 for Volunteers on the Air. A few contacts in New England and one in Belize so far. Come find me at 28.435 until 10am CDT

Loved the internet in the 90s? may be for YOU! 😁😂 No commercialization, pure joy in the ability to chat with randos around the globe, data modes that feel like hitting up PPP and Kermit… complete the throwback vibes with your favorite grunge flannel.

@mrwilson It was a quiet day for me. Always fun to see all the teams, vans and costumes. Pink Gorilla really does a great job organizing the event.

@mrwilson I've wondered about those Omaha segments. There was enough going on with radio traffic on our side of the Platte without listening to the other side. We were having issues with traffic (including team vehicles) on 310th around Murdock. Teams have to be relieved to get on to the MoPac East trail...

@jsonstein Thank you! I love the check list idea. I did my third net last night and I have relied on a heavily scripted net — and I know that I sound like I'm reading the whole thing, but that's fine for now. I've had a couple mishaps and been grateful to have the next words right in front of me. As I get more comfortable, there is a lot of stuff that I could definitely reduce to a set of checklist items that would be a lot easier to track. I appreciate your experience and suggestion!

Had a pretty busy weekend helping with support for the Market to Market Relay, the largest day-long relay race in the U.S., then taking care of a corner for the Crop Hunger Walk in town on Sunday. I managed to complete my Lincoln Craft Beer Week card in between 😁🍺

@cpultz you’re just going to have to suck it up and eat at both… Joey Chestnut eats like 1,500 hot dogs… you could manage a couple burgers… 😂

Dropkick Murphys… Always amazing ☘️

@w7voa 🙄

@cpultz how do we say “Joe’s ElCamino” without saying it?

Spoke with stations in both Australia and Austria this morning. There’s a Dumb and Dumber “Throw another shrimp on the Bar-B!” joke there somewhere…

@retroist I had a teenager last night show me his walkman and tell me about the old songs on his mixtape. I should have asked if he made the mixtape himself... funny how something that was so ordinary at the time seems amazing now — having a double tape deck, cueing both up to the appropriate location, hitting play and record at the same time… we were all engineers. :-)

@AE4WX Thanks! I've been trying to record calls on our nightly net with pen/paper the last few nights to practice and haven't been great at it. Our Sunday evening net tends to have fewer check-ins, so I'm hoping that holds true this week!
