@simon I can't even remember what caused it to pop up. A bike-rental maybe? I was surprised when it did — thought "Hey! There's one of those things!" — and have never seen one again.

@cpultz maybe you’ve just lowered your standards? :-)

@fatherroderick I’ve always enjoyed your projects, particularly some of the earliest where you would walk, talk and record your surroundings… almost like Apple’s “Time to Walk” — but nearly 20 years earlier 😁 I’m glad to hear you are embracing Mastodon and look forward to more of your posts here.

@zacharybaehr I think that was back in December some time. :-)

Listening to my physician-wife dictate a note about a patient’s period to dragon is “who’s-on-first”-level comedy. I asked how it is at discerning the menstruation from the punctuation and she said “usually pretty good”. Amazing.

Thanks to all for your replies. I went back through a lot of the loggers I had already looked at along with some new ones and found Log4OM to be quite good for my purposes. I like all of the panels being in one window instead of being scattered across multiple. I also love that the DB file can be stored on a cloud service like Dropbox or OneDrive and Log4OM on multiple computers can use that same file. I do wish there was a dark mode and that it didn’t have OM in the name, but 🤷‍♂️.

LPS District Day tomorrow ❄️😁

🙄 News apps that send notifications about items for which the app has nothing

@cpultz the Disney wait line of drive-thrus?

@n2epe I’ve messed around with N1MM a bit and love the field where you can enter a frequency or log a contact. I just wish it didn’t look like a HyperCard stack from the 90s.

Is it too much to hope for that the might get past this by turning into the moderates vs the far-right and far-left, choosing a leader that has the respect of the middle majority and can actually get things done?

Hard to hear over son drumming down the hall? Is that considered QRM? 😂🥁📻

@DeniseGutzmer Sorry. Serious information, but I can’t avoid hearing the NOAA weather radio voice in my head as I read your post … “And now for the climate summary… “

Got a bit muddy enjoying a hike with friends at camp then worked my way through the bands hunting POTAs, trying to be noticed in pileups with 20 watts and a random wire.

“Let me turn my antenna towards you” always sounds a little humble-braggy to me… I want to say “hold on a minute while I get shoes and a coat on, go outside and throw my wire into a different tree”

Happy new year everyone! May your 2023 be full of happiness and new experiences!

@jarred it’s 2023 somewhere!

Sister-In-Law’s home. Reminds of me of Caprica before the Cyclons attacked. Ominous start to 2023.

@weezmgk was thinking the same thing…

Just a general licensee hearing somebody at 14.152 calling “cq cq testing testing…” and thinking “It’s a Trap!”

Rest in Peace Pelé. Just heard this podcast episode about him a couple days ago: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/
